OUR PEDAGOGICAL BELIEFS


Keeping children physically active, engaged and collaborating is encouraged through flexibility within the learning environment according to the activity and needs of the children:

  • The use of modular tables and flexible seating inspires teamwork, mobility within the classrooms and the adaptability of the learning environment;
  • Flexible time-tabling allows for continuity within learning and supports the natural development of ideas and projects;
  • The extension of the learning environment to the outdoors provides opportunities for play, gardening and hand-on learning;
  • Wednesday afternoons are dedicated to community-based learning. This means children spend time working on projects with local cultural organisations, charities and museums and engaging in forest school activities.
